Now that we are getting to experience the real summer heat, it is important to have a proper skin care and beauty regime. Here are 7 tips using apple cider vinegar to beat the heat and enjoy your summer to the fullest!

Skin Toner
Apple cider vinegar is known to be an excellent skin toner, and much less expensive! It will make your skin glow and tighten your pores!

You simply have to mix an equal amount of apple cider vinegar and water, and then apply this toner on your face with a cotton pad.

Breakouts
Sweat, sunscreen and pool chemicals can do a number on your skin. Don't fret, the occasional pimple can sneak up on just about anyone. Make your own all-natural toner with apple cider vinegar and banish those summer breakouts.

Toner for Oily, Acne-Prone Skin
• 120 ml (8 tbsps.) of mineral water
• 5 tablets of aspirin
• 15 ml (1 tbsp.) of Ancestral apple cider vinegar

Dissolve aspirin in mineral water and apple cider vinegar and use the solution on your face while focusing on problem areas.

Acetasalicylic acid, the active ingredient in aspirin, is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, while vinegar contains malic and lactic acids that exfoliate, decrease red blotches and treat acne. Abstain from using if your skin is sensitive.

Hair Rinse for Healthy Hair

A day spent at the pool can do a number on your hair. Try out this apple cider vinegar hair rinse to remove any chlorine from your hair and keep your locks looking lustrous.

Hair Rinse
• 4 cups of mineral water
• 1 tbsp. (15 ml) of Ancestral apple cider vinegar
• Few drops of essential oil (rosemary or thyme)

Dilute essential oils and vinegar in mineral water. Rinse hair with mixture.

Rosemary or thyme essential oil act as natural astringents and absorb excess sebum. Vinegar seals split ends, leaving hair soft and shiny.

To Relieve Painful Sunburns
While it won’t heal your sunburn overnight, soaking in apple cider vinegar can help neutralize your skin’s pH levels and relieve some of the sting and redness.

Simply pour 1 cup of apple cider vinegar in a warm bath and soak for 15 to 20 minutes.

Mosquito Repellent
Time to plan your mosquito repellents!

Pour all the ingredients into a small bottle and shake well. It is important to let the mixture sit for 4 days before using, so that the different substances amplify their effects by synergy.

Mosquito Repellent
• 40 drops lavender essential oil
• 40 drops lemongrass essential oil
• 30 drops peppermint essential oil
• 200 ml Ancestral apple cider vinegar
• 200 ml mineral oil

Spray on all exposed areas including the face, avoiding contact with the eyes.

Cure for Insect Bites
While summer isn’t always just fun and games, there are ways to treat skin that itches and is irritated by insect bites, be it mosquitoes, ticks or fleas.

Dab any insect bites (wasp, bee, spider, mosquito, etc.) with a cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar. The vinegar soothes itchy rashes and insect bites.

Gorgeous from Head to Toe!
Keep your feet looking pretty all summer long with apple cider vinegar and be the source of major sandal envy! Dry and calloused feet can also result in uncomfortable fungal infection; therefore, it’s important to give your feet the attention they deserve all summer long.

To care for your feet, make yourself a soothing footbath. In a basin filled with warm water, add a handful of salt and two cups of apple cider vinegar.
